Local Hack Day: Share is a week-long celebration of sharing everything you’ve learned as a hacker. If you’ve been hacking with us all year, we’re excited to have you back. If this is your very first event, we’ve got a ton of beginner-friendly challenges for you to complete that’ll have you shipping your hack like a pro in no time. You’ll have your pick of technical, design, and social challenges to complete - each with an emphasis on sharing your work. The more challenges you conquer, the more points you’ll earn. Local Hack Day: Share will run from Sunday, March 28th to Monday, April 5th. During this time, you can expect challenges for all skill levels. We will have plenty of both week-long and daily challenges to keep you busy. Week-long challenges will be accessible for the entire week, so you can hack on them whenever you have free time. Daily challenges are only available for 24 hours after they’re originally posted, so make sure you come back each day to see which challenges you’re going to conquer.
Challenges will range from social challenges urging you to connect with other members of the community, technical challenges that will expand your coding skills, and design challenges to refine your skills as a creator and artist. We cannot wait to see all you learn, build, and share.

After you’ve completed our registration challenges, you’ll have earned yourself;

What is a Guild? How can I be a part of it?
One of the best parts of our community is that it allows people to meet and make connections with others, regardless of where you live. guilds are smaller communities within Local Hack Day. Whether you come in with a guild or not, you won’t be hacking alone.
Hello, World in a New Language
It’s our first day, and what better way to say hello to the week than saying hello, world in a new language? Write code to say hello, world in any programming language that you’ve never used before. Not sure where to start? There are tons of online tutorials like this one
Build with a Starter Pack
Did you know we have Hackathon Starter Kits to help you get up and hacking with new tools as quickly as possible? Pick one out here (https://hack.mlh.io/learn/), follow the tutorial, and submit your hack here.
Create a Video Playlist Project
Finding ways to connect online is more important than ever. Create an application that lets a group send videos to queue and compile into one. After you're finished, consider sharing it with folks in your community to make a video for someone (it could be birthday messages, thank yous, or just saying hello)

This event open to hackers, all over the world. While we primarily work with student hackers or those who have graduated within the last 12 months, working professionals are also welcome to join us. Students can include high school students, university undergraduate or postgraduate students, and people who are in vocational training such as apprenticeships.
As per our Code of Conduct, there is no discrimination on the basis of race, religion, national origin, color, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, social class, economic status, veteran status, disability, or age.
Your challenge submission must be completed within the submission period(Sunday, March 28th at 12 PM EST - Monday, March 28th at 12 PM EST)
Your code must be available in some sort of public repository.
If you're continuing work on an old project, you MUST specify in your Devpost what was worked on 1) before this day one of LHD: Share and 2) during day day of LHD: Share.
